ABOUT KAI ORA
The Kai Ora Fund is a partnership between Mahitahi Hauora, The Far North District Council, Te Puni Kōkiri, Kaipara District Council, The Ministry of Social Development, Whangārei District Council and Kāinga Ora- Homes and Communities.
The Kai Ora Fund is a small community grants process to support innovative projects that address food security, benefit the wider community and encourage employment and economic development in the region. We want our communities to have an accessible, affordable and safe food supply for current and future generations, and to be resilient to future disruption or unavailability of food due to various risk factors including droughts, fuel shortages and economic instability.

Whangarei District Council
The territorial authority for the Whangarei District of New Zealand.
Te Puni Kōkiri
The Ministry of Māori Development, is the principal policy advisor of the Government of New Zealand on Māori wellbeing and development.
Far North District Council
The territorial authority for the Far North District of New Zealand.
Kaipara District Council
The territorial authority for the Kaipara District of New Zealand.
The Ministry of Social Development
The public service department of New Zealand charged with advising the government on social policy, and providing social services.
Kāinga Ora- Homes and Communities
Kāinga Ora places people from the Housing Register into our homes, providing tenancy services to public housing tenants, and maintains and develops public houses.
