Pehiāweri Māori Church and Marae has a beautiful māra kai and orchard, tended to with love by the Pehiāweri Garden Group, which meets every Monday morning to connect, care and grow. The produce grown in the garden is used in the Marae and shared with whānau and excess is placed into community pataka in Tikipunga. In 2019, Pehiāweri Maori Marae and Church received support from the Kai Ora Fund for their māra kai.
